Hello all. Been a week or so since I last posted. Been super busy trying to get out book 3. I expect it will be out in about a week at the latest. So in my editing, my editor brought to my attention that you probably can’t make a contracted word out of SO DID into SO’D. I argue that point. It may bot be a Webster’s Dictionary word, but I think it falls into a common usage in the English language. Maybe I’ve been living in the south too long. After all, I say Y’all and have no problem with that. The sentence in question here is “So’d you have fun at the beach?” I just don’t like the sound of “so did.” SO…. What are your thoughts??? I’m waiting to hear some opinions as to what I should do with my “So’d.”
