So today I googled my name and …. My Amazon author page was the number one result!! I know, Jennifer Geoghan isn’t the most common name in the world, but you’d be surprised how many of us there are un the US. Last time I checked, any mention of me was way at the bottom of page one, maybe middle of page two. I like to see this as progress in my career. If you see it differently, please don’t share. I’d like to keep my illusions as long as I can. 🙂
While reading, I often come across a sentence or a phrase that captures my eye, something I find myself saying “I wish I’d written that” about. This past week, this was that sentence:
Written by Cherie Burns in her book The Great Hurricane: 1938
“Montauk Point, at the end of Long Island, thrusts east towards the dawn, while the rest of America is still in darkness.”
I love this sentence, totally descriptive in a practical way, but also poetic at the same time. Great job, Cherie!
